RUN THE HOUSE.
One phone for the fan. One connected screen for the venue. No App Store download.
Before doors open
- Open Fan Points and sign in with your Fan Zone account. Rocky's owner account is rockyshawjr@yahoo.com.
- Tap Staff. Only authorized accounts see this tab. Rocky can add or remove staff by confirmed account email.
- Create the event, venue, and scan window. Select the correct Eastern UTC offset for that event date. November 7, 2026 is Eastern Standard Time, UTC−05:00.
- Add the actual rewards, point costs, and available stock. Activate only prizes ready to hand out.
- During the event window, tap Show Event QR, then Go full screen. Keep the device connected, plugged in, bright, and awake.
Try the sample event
A practice event was created during setup. Open its live QR screen and scan with a second phone. It refreshes every 60 seconds, with 15 seconds of grace for a scan already in progress. Practice check-ins show the celebration but do not affect spendable points or the real leaderboard.
If the sample window has ended, create another event and check Practice event only. Practice participation still allows just one scan per account per practice event.
Use Print event poster for a sign-in poster. Its printed QR opens Fan Points. Only the changing screen code awards check-in points.
At the entrance
- Fans sign in using their existing email and password or an emailed magic link. Remind them to check spam.
- First-time participants enter first and last name. Marketing is optional. Fans control leaderboard visibility.
- Fans scan the current QR with their phone camera. A successful real check-in shows +10 POINTS and their new balance.
- If a code expires during sign-in, ask them to scan the current screen again. A second successful scan for the same event says Already checked in tonight.
A rotating QR discourages old screenshots. Someone could still share a current code quickly. It is not proof of physical location.
At the merch table
- The fan taps Redeem on a reward. Points and stock are reserved immediately.
- Check the prize and enter the fan's 12-character code under Confirm a reward.
- Wait for confirmation, then hand over the prize. A used or cancelled code cannot be confirmed again.
Fans can cancel unconfirmed reservations to return points and stock. Earned points determine leaderboard position, so claiming a prize does not lower their rank.
Fixes & closing time
Look up a fan by name or email, select them, enter a positive or negative adjustment, and give a reason. The adjustment and your staff account are logged. Do not add points again when the app already recorded a check-in.
Use Close check-in if the event must stop early. Otherwise its window closes automatically. If Wi-Fi fails, no code or points should be assumed saved. Restore the connection and retry. Staff can make a logged adjustment when necessary.
Export opted-in fans for Mailchimp only when you need the file. Keep that CSV private. Export does not send email or automatically subscribe anyone.
Points rules
Live event attendance: 10 points, once per event. Existing verified merch: 25 per approved order. Existing online tickets: 10 per approved order, including Square. Existing confirmed T-Town predictions: 10 per correct pick. Purchase and prediction records remain in the original Fan Zone.
Daily trivia keeps its separate score. New automation hooks for referrals, ticket integrations, trivia rewards, and Fan of the Month are disabled. The initial leaderboard is the Founding Season. Test events never count.
